I am honored to share my testimonial about my life in Bethany and the profound impact it had on shaping the person I am today. My name is Mubiru Sande Bernard, and I was a part of the Bethany program from 2006 to 2013.

During my time in Bethany, I had the opportunity to learn and grow in both spiritual and physical aspects of my life. The lessons and experiences I gained have been instrumental in making me the better father I am today. I am forever grateful for the knowledge and wisdom imparted to me during my time in the program.

Reflecting on my journey, I often wonder how different my life would have been if I hadn’t been given the chance to be a part of Bethany. I am confident that it would have taken a completely different path. Bethany provided me with a safe and nurturing environment where I could develop essential life skills, values, and principles that continue to guide me.

Now that I am working and have the means to give back, I feel a deep sense of obligation to support those who are still in Bethany. I want them to have the same opportunity to celebrate their own successes and give glory to God for being a part of such a transformative program. It is my heartfelt desire to see them grow into responsible fathers and mothers, overcoming the challenges that life may throw their way.

When I see some of my childhood friends and colleagues who grew up with me in Bethany still struggling with life, it fills me with a sense of compassion and a burning desire to help. The fact that they do not know where their next meal will come from breaks my heart. I am committed to doing whatever I can to assist them and alleviate their hardships, especially those who face major challenges like addiction.

I am immensely grateful that some of us who grew up in Bethany have come together as a family to provide support and assistance to those who need it most. Bethany has left an indelible mark on my life, and I will forever cherish the memories and the lessons learned. I will continue to support Bethany’s mission and extend a helping hand to those who are still in the system and those who have left but continue to face significant obstacles.

Bethany has truly transformed my life, and I am forever indebted to the program for the opportunities it provided me. I am proud to be a product of Bethany and will continue to live out its principles in my life. To God be the glory for the impact Bethany has had on me and the countless lives it continues to touch.
